Hi, my name is Donna Collins, I am a qualified Nursery Nurse and former Nursery Manager with an Enhanced CRB certificate. I have a specialised interest in Craft for the under Fives. I have 3 children of my own, and have always enjoyed doing craft activities at home with them and preparing Craft Parties for them. I also prepare the Craft for my Church’s monthly pre-school group (Mini-Mark’s at St. Mark’s Church in Horsham).With a busy family myself I am all too aware of the pressures we are under to involve our children in lots of creative activities, and how difficult this can be, and not always possible for worry of mess, lack of time or space. Hence I have been inspired to set up Craftibobs! |

Craftibobs Values and Beliefs:
Children who attend Craftibobs will benefit from the opportunity to express their creative and imaginative flair, in a fun and friendly, safe, encouraging, relaxed environment.
Not forgetting that the Parents / Carers who attend Craftibobs will benefit from seeing their children develop many new skills, whilst having some special time watching and encouraging them to create their own master pieces, without having the mess to clear away afterwards!
Craftibobs works in conjunction within the Birth to Three Matters Framework, as set by the Dept of Education. It also works within the Early Years Foundation Stage Guidelines. Thus ensuring each child will benefit in all areas of development, from the weekly themed sessions.
Craftibobs Children will be Enabled to:
- Explore and Experiment with a wide range of appropriate media/materials.
- Develop the ability to express and communicate ideas, thoughts and feelings, by using a wide range of materials.
- Develop and use their imagination and decision making through art and design.
- Learn and develop new skills such as handling tools, objects, construction and malleable materials safely and with increasing control.
- Use everyday objects in new and different ways.
- Develop problem solving ability through creative play.
- Develop Hand and Eye Co-ordination, whilst manipulating the tools, which help them to create their own master-pieces.
- Develop social skills, whilst working alongside their peers.
- Build self confidence and self esteem when they achieve their own creative work using their own hands and imagination.
