Parents and Carers stay with and are responsible for their children, and are encouraged to have some fun one to one time, joining in the creating.

Small Groups of 12 pre-school children per session.

Each week the Craft activities will follow a theme, and there will be different activity tables set out accordingly. The activity tables will enable the children to explore a wide range of materials and methods of creative activity, at the same time as learning about the world around us age appropriately.

Creative Activities such as:

Painting, printing, finger, hand, feet and sponge painting.
Drawing, colouring, pencil control activities, cutting and tearing.
Sticking, collage, matching, junk modelling and pattern making.
Messy activities with gloop, play-dough, jelly, sand, clay and soil.

All themes will include lots of varied forms of creative materials, some messier than others!!

Each Craftibobs session will start with circle time, where the theme and the activities on offer will be explained. Sometimes there may be a short story, visual aids or song linking the theme in, to give the children an understanding of the activities. Then each child is given an apron to put on and away they go for the creative fun to begin!

The Children are free to choose which activities they would like to do, and how long they would like to spend on them.

At Craftibobs the sessions are ‘softly structured’ to enable the children to express their creative talents, in their own way and own time. This gives them a strong sense of confidence and builds self esteem.

At the end of the session it is circle time again, where there will be a drink and biscuit for the hard working artists, and a sticker for all their achievements. We will take time to look at some of their creations, before singing our goodbye song to end the session. Each term a carry bag is provided for works of art to be taken home in.
